Tiles in the bathroom

Tiles in the bathroom offer many advantages. We are not only talking about the optics, but also about the practical purpose. A tiled bathroom always looks neat and also protects against water damage. Tiles can be laid in the entire bathroom. There are different types of tiles to discover that could grace your bathroom.

Floor tiles in the bathroom

There are numerous differences in tiles. One of the biggest differences is that there are wall tiles and floor tiles. Floor tiles are usually a bit larger than wall tiles and have to be of a certain quality. Tiling the bathroom can be tough work, especially when the floor in the bathroom may not be perfectly straight. It should then be straightened out beforehand. Because if the floor tiles are simply laid like this, the whole thing won't last very long. Due to the stress on furniture and also from walking over it, the tiles will break at some point. No matter how high a quality they are. If you are not familiar with tiling bathrooms, you should let a professional do the work. Choosing floor tiles is not that difficult, however. The only thing that should be clarified in advance is which colors or patterns are to be used. For example, many like a mosaic very much. A mosaic is still quite rare on bathroom floors and can therefore be a nice feature.

Wall tiles

A bathroom should always be fitted with wall tiles. These can be monochrome, patterned or a real mosaic. A mosaic in particular looks really good and literally adorns the bathroom. But actually it's more about the tiles protect the walls. A lot of work is done with water in the bathroom. The walls can get a few splashes. If these are then only wallpapered, the moisture goes directly into the wall and can lead to the formation of mold. However, if the walls are tiled, they can be dried easily.

Mosaic in the bathroom

A mosaic in the bathroom is a great challenge. But when the project is finished, the bathroom is hardly recognizable. Even with a simple, small mosaic, the bathroom can become a real wellness oasis. A mosaic is very suitable for decorating wall projections, tub cladding or window sills. Seating areas in the bathroom can also be adorned with a mosaic. Of course, the mosaic can also be used on walls and floors. With a mosaic, you have a lot of choices about what the end result should look like. There are so many tesserae to discover that could beautify your bathroom. You can use it to set beautiful color accents or to really gild your bathroom. Be creative and turn your bathroom into a unique room with a pretty mosaic.

Maintaining and cleaning tiles

In and of themselves, tiles and the mosaic are very easy to care for. However, a bit of care and cleaning is also required here. In principle, a mosaic only needs to be wiped off from time to time. Larger tiles, however, need a little more. The tiles must be wiped with a damp cloth and then polished dry to avoid streaks. Dirt tends to get caught in the joints and this is where the source of mold is located. The joints should therefore be cleaned regularly. There is no specific method of keeping bathroom tiles clean. Cleaning agents are definitely permitted for high-quality tiles.
